Gnarly Roots or Witches Fingers

Decided on a bike ride and adapted the route as I progressed. It maybe the only bike ride this week assuming the forecast is correct. Inspected the new temporary bridge being built at Ness bridge after the parapets of the one I used were to be found in the river bed. Fortunately with the road closed apart from cyclists who were asked to dismount it made for a quiet ride.

Out with Jet this afternoon. Many more leaves on the ground. The damp certainly made the roots stand out. The rain has slowly increased through the day so Jet’s teatime walk was curtailed and he is now drying off in front of the fire.
