Black History Month

These two are each learning about a famous black person at school this week, as part of black history month. So I got them a book each for bedtime reading. I’ve seen some people questioning why we need a month dedicated to this... I think if kids are having exams pushed back by three weeks in the summer in order to catch up what they’ve missed due to the pandemic... then the same logic means we need a lot of dedicated catch up time on black history given how behind we are...
