Sloes

Today’s picture is of some sloes, which can be found in our garden; there is not enough to make slow gin. If I wanted some more there are plenty growing opposite my house, but they really need to have had a frost on them for making sloe gin. By the time the frosts arrive other people or the birds will have taken them.
 
Speaking of sloes and gin, I have today ordered a bottle of Adnams Quince Gin on the recommendation of blast. I will let you know how it tastes.
