Long distance contact

That is going to be the way it's going to be for, a while. But it cheered up an otherwise 'not going out day'. I woke to the rain battering on the roof which continued to mid afternoon. In a way I was glad to have a day at home, alone.

Spent most of the morning composing a long email in prep for next week. That was enlivened at lunchtime by a virtual birthday party with Weng Fatt who is 65 today. There was pizza, cake (chocolate spider), Olivia running around and of course 'happy birthday'. Wen Shan and Kai were on the call from Taiwan (where life has never deviated from normal) but Wen Xin, in London, was working. Wen Fang of course was at home with her parents. Good to be part of a family celebration. KL goes into a more restricted situation tonight for 16 days and the girls are off school. #2 son says they are keeping the restaurants open but only for tables of 2 and takeaways are encouraged.

The rest of the day I've done a bit of College work and a bit for BTA (with more to come) and I've done some more sewing, but no singing.

Again it's a clear evening. I wonder if Mars will come out later?
