The Way for Bridles

I don't know the origins of the name for such ways, but I like the idea of the bridleway, public but not for motorised traffic.

This is on the hill above Potton, the weather was coming in (see Extra) and I didn't venture far from the road.  I had been to our caravan to do some mending inside, and to check the tyre pressures; on the way home I felt the Blip-urge, so I parked to satisfy it :-).
