Beachcombed Finds
Very busy day in the shop. Getting organised for the run up to the dreaded C word.
Our catalogues are in and people are already ordering the star gifts.
I have found over the past months of this pandemic that painting has been a great stress reliever when we have had a busy time in the shop.
Bridge House Art really stepped up to the mark and kept us busy with some great challenges.
I signed up for one of the online courses Painting The Poetic.
This involved creating triptychs based around a theme.
This is one I made based on some of my beachcombed finds.
My main image, a gannet skull, formed the back of the triptych, my scallop shells with some bits of pottery were the front cover and the inside was my drawing of some seaweed with dogfish and spotted ray egg sacs with some pieces of sea urchin shell thrown in.
Great fun and these little triptychs I have found to be very addictive.
