Back to food and wine theme, this is chicken, chilli and chive Hello Fresh meal, which I eventually got round to cooking after phoning till 8pm - accompanied by lovely Burgundy red which is one of my samples but won't be needed (see below) so might as well get supped... Francis coming up tomorrow so I'm sure he'll help me with some of the others :D
Some nice chats of course, but only two tastings booked for this week (Friday). Both sweet drinkers, leaving plenty of open samples which won't be needed... Fortunately a few expressed interest in a "taster pack" - two done, three more in discussion. I like this plan because I get an immediate sale, and at the same time they are trying a variety of wines, some of which they are bound to like, leading to future orders...
Entertained by customers' accounts of their discussions with arrogant Aaron, who has taken over my file for Pieroth. It's a right pain that the prices have come right down (as they should do, bearing in mind the money being saved), so I am trying to tempt them with wines twice the price of the Pieroth ones they already know and love...
A few tastings booked in for November, let's hope Lincolnshire stays in "Tier 1" covid-wise so I can still do the tastings.
