A Big Adventure for a Little Guy!

So last night turned from a relaxed evening of watching a movie with a glass of wine with a couple of my housemates to spending almost an hour chasing after this little rascal! This is Furious (don't ask, the mathematicians named him!).

We would have been blissfully thinking that one of our precious hamsters was still in his cage had Alex not seen a hamster run under the sofa I was sitting on!

Me thinking he was slightly intoxicated with his beer thought he was seeing things and that it was a big spider so there was no way I was ever jumping off that sofa! But sure enough, after Max looked under the sofa, Furious was there exactly in the middle of the sofa!

We tried to entice him out with carrots, the smell of his bed and flushing him out using bright lights but sadly none of these worked!

It was only when we came up with a master plan of using a long wrapping paper roll to make him crawl out to the open did we manage to catch him!

Turns out he'd been out for at least TWO DAYS!!!!! Not surprisingly he went straight for his food when he was back in his cage!

That was a big adventure for our little Furious!
