Syrian Camp

Katie and I visited friends in one of the Syrian camps- here she's playing playdough with her friend- in the evening everyone goes out and about greeting each other. It was amazing we were allowed in - definitely helped by the head of security being asleep so the guard let us in (he thought I was from Vietnam?!). I took my friend to the doctors which was actually quite an enjoyable experience: it's very un British in the way everyone discusses their ailments as they sit waiting for their appointments! Not fun if it's something really private, but a nice friendly time. Covid is now in the camp but people are tired of it and the market was packed with people, none of whom were wearing masks :(
