Boundaries

For the past couple of weeks, the house and garden next to us has seen some radical change. The front and back garden that my former neighbours tended for decades, has been completely ripped out my digger. It felt very brutal.

Nobody likes change I suppose, but particularly not when it comes with your house losing a couple of linear metres of harling, scraped off by contactors wedging their dumper through a gap not big enough to accommodate it. Funnily enough the neighbouring house hasn't sustained any damage all. And even more "funny" (certainly not ha-ha funny) is the new owner's intention to continue scraping up the side of our house, because he will "put it right" afterwards. If someone scraped up your car, and asked to do it again because they would fix it after, how would you feel?

I really don't like conflict, but I don't want to be a doormat either.
