But for Cupid's show of love yesterday, these beauties would have undoubtedly featured as my Valentine's Day blip.

Jenny made me some of Lorraine Pascale's Chaussons Aux Pommes (or Little Warm Bramley Apple Pies to the rest of us) for a Valentine's treat & they taste aboslutely brilliant, especially with custard! We are big fans of Lorraine & there's so many of her recipes that we've tried & love.

You might have guessed it, I had another day off away from the grindstone as my 'man' cold had not improved in any considerable way. We were meant to go out for some drinks this eve for a friends leaving-the-country-do, but having also developing a nice chesty cough as well, it really wouldn't have been a good idea. So instead, we settled in & down for evening, & watched a true classic & favey of ours, Overboard, with Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn. Such an all round great film!
