CELEBRATE THE FOUNDER

The bronze is Clif Tufte, the founder of Road America. He was celebrated this 65th year of operation and memorialized with this bronze statue. It's a perfect likeness. Surrounding the statue are his grandchildren...four of whom are former students of mine. 

EXTRAS: Autumn color abounds this past weekend at Road America as the track hosted the SCCA National Runoff Championships. STRONG winds Monday and Tuesday have caused a lot of the leaves to fall to the ground.
