The Downham Eye

The Ferris wheel is being erected. There is definitely some consternation in the town as to its appearance, especially on this particular site. One gentleman I meet regularly on my walks tells me that he has never seen a fair there during his lifetime. Although I take what he says with a pinch of salt as he also reckons that chewing tobacco is a good cure for my cat's fur balls. The funfair starts tomorrow, the town waits with bated breath (masked I hope).
