Birthday Brûlée

53 years completed.

Josh and Tom provided some lovely gifts this morning including a blow torch, hot water bottle to replace the one Juno gnawed, a very impressive bottle of wine, and a decanter. Tom’s in his final day of Covid isolation - still testing negative, so he’s wondering how long before he has contact with another student who has tested positive and has to go back into isolation again.

Josh made delicious focaccia and wonderful Creme Brûlée. We did a quiz with Tom and Sasha in Newcastle, Bee in Manchester fresh from an outdoor swim in the Lakes, Gi and Carol down the road in Witney who emerged as champs, and myself and Josh, the losers this time round.

All in all, a damn good birthday!
