Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid!
We went out to Anvil Rock again and the noise of the cicadas was deafening, so loud that my ears hurt.
A quick google reveals that the volume can reach 150 DCBs.

I find them much more interesting now than when I was a child, and everybody's ambition was to find a Black Prince.
There is disagreement among scientists about the period each species stays underground, but apparently the conditions are perfect at the moment, possibly because of climate change.
