Fast as a hare

Took my new go-kart for its first autobahn sprint today. 160km/h for its little 22-year-old 65HP engine not at all bad, in fact, the original quoted top speed back in 1998.

Took the opportunity of visiting Memmingen to get swimming pool chemicals, to visit 5 car dealerships as we are looking at getting a Hybrid Plug-In car and using the large government subsidy. Part of the reasoning is a large amount of over capacity PV electricity that we have for at least 7 months a year and which we have to sell to the electricity company for one-third of what we late have to pay in winter.

It was a pretty depressing series of visits. Just from a customer service point of view,  Mini was by far the worst, followed by Mercedes. BMW, Ford & Peugeot was adequate. Only Kia was good & the same salesman showed me around Opel's offers but I wasn't really interested in their limited products. Will follow up on Kia.

On the evening walks this year has been great to keep encountering hares. This trend seemed to start last year. Previously I would remark if I saw one hare a year. Now it's almost daily but I still never have the camera ready or aimed fast enough to get a good photo
