Coughton Court
It was quite a sunny day so we went over to the National Trust property, Coughton Court, near Alcester. The first thing we spotted in the car park was this kestrel. It was stalking the area at one point landing on a car aerial before flying up to the telegraph wires.
The Covid precautions have been carefully thought out and it felt quite safe having a drink in their courtyard prior to going for a walk. A one-way system has been put in place though certain areas, such as the walled garden and the churches have been closed to the public.
As we reached the bridge over the river the kestrel made another appearance. This time he hovered for a while before diving on some unfortunate prey. Of course I quickly took some photos, not having time to set a higher speed on the camera, still this will do
By 4pm the park was deserted and we sat on a bench to enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
