Mad dash

When I woke up this morning, it was 30 minutes before sunrise. I looked outside from the bathroom window and noticed an opening in the sky, just where the sunrise would take place. Ten minutes later, I was sitting in my car and yet another ten minutes later, I was at the location near camping "De Banjer". Five minutes later, the sky turned orange, as can be seen in the extra. Once the sun made an appearance, I turned my attention to the low sunlight hitting the trees at the side of the Damsterdiep canal.

This isn't how I usually like to do my photography, but I'm pleased with the results. Next on the agenda: breakfast!
