Say cheese!
I’m about to bake a Camembert à la mrshb70, with little sprigs of Rosemary from the garden. She usually pushes some garlic cloves in too, but I couldn’t be bothered peeling garlic this evening! Lazy hound that I am.
The Ards Man is out in his workshop, sealing in the roof insulation by nailing huge sheets of ply on top. I have offered to help hold things, but my charming assistance has not been required.
We’re phlegmatic about the new restrictions. We both have plenty to keep us occupied at home, although we’re trying to take more regular walks. I miss being able to fly over and see the girls (one in Liverpool and the other in Edinburgh) and could be despondent about not getting to see them for quite a while yet, but I’ve decided not to be. I’m choosing joy!
I wonder how long that will last.... Until I run out of books, chocolate and wine, I suppose. At least we’re able to stay on the boat still; it really bugged the AM that he wasn’t able to do that during the Spring/Summer lockdown. And we might even head up the Lough to Belfast at some stage. Woohoo!
Hope you all have a good weekend and decide on whatever it takes to ‘spark joy’. :)
