Sunlight over the Holms (Day 1988)

A busy day again today which started off with a trip to town to collect a bunch of stuff for a job in Stromness. The job was to replace a lot of the waste pipe under the floor of an art studio. I was called to deal with a blockage in the pipe a while back, and suggested that it would block again if the pipework wasn't altered. I spent the morning getting it sorted out and getting it to run downhill, which the last installer didn't manage.
Next up a visit to the oatcake factory to have a look at a loo with a broken flush. I didn't have the part to fix it, so promised to be back later to sort it.
On the way to town, I stopped off to fix another loo with a broken flush.
Back at Stromness with the bits I needed, the loo was a really quick fix and I had time to go to A's shed and lay out pipework for water supplies for water troughs. Someone else will be digging them into trenches before the ground is concreted.
After giving the van a bit of a wash, I zoomed home to spend the weekend with my beautiful wife.
