I got my puncture repaired today. Unfortunately I went down to the beach where the tyre promptly flattened again. I did get back to Halfords and it's been properly fixed now. 
On the way down to the beach I passed Pittodrie (home of Aberdeen FC) Car park and I looked to see if the Hoopoe bird was still there that had been blown slightly off course from Africa! He may well still be around but wasnt showing himself so I carried on to the beach.
