Courtney park

Friday
We dropped Calum at Newton Abbot railway station as he was heading to Bristol a day ahead of us to meet up with a friend. We were also meeting friends and they arrived on the Exmouth train a few minutes before Calum's train departed. We had a wander through Courtney Park while waiting - we used to meet my grandmother there when the boys were little.
Me and Sue reminisced about the various shops along Queen Street and how it's changed so much since our school days. As it was a lovely sunny morning, we were able to sit outside for a coffee.

We spent the afternoon with mum, finishing off the jobs she needed doing around the garden in preparation for winter, such as moving tender plants into the greenhouse and putting the garden furniture away. We're off to Bristol first thing Saturday and it was hard saying goodbye without a hug.
