Petersfield v Newport

My 15th game of the season took me to Love Lane in Petersfield for this Wessex League Division 1 fixture.  It was fabulous to catch up with Fat Andy who I haven't seen for a few weeks, and although our lunch in the Weatherspoons was pretty grotty, a couple of pints put us in the right frame of mind for the game.  Petersfield conceded an own goal after 3 minutes, but managed to level 4 minutes later.  The rest of the first half was fairly even, but the Newport number 5 was sent off and in the second half Petersfield totally dominated against the ten men.  It looked as if it was going to be one of those afternoons where the dominant team can't quite do enough to score, but in the 95th minute they managed to do so and ran out 2-1 winners.
