New Friends

First of all - HUGE thank you and love to all my blip buddies who made my sixth blipday so special. Y'all are wonderful! 

Onwards with year seven...

These two are our new pals! A few years ago a house along the dirt road where we take our morning walk - which used to belong to some old old college friends of The Husband's - was sold. Our friends moved just a little way away into a house they designed and built to be good for their old age. The people who bought their old place - to our horror - immediately cut down all the woods that were between the road and the house. It seemed they had horses and wanted to create pastures for same. It took quite some time, and we mourned the woods that our friends said had a barred owl that nested in it. The stumps were gradually removed, grass planted, fencing went in, and then suddenly three days ago... a pair of horses appeared! They - bless them - turn out to like to say hello when we walk by. So we've now basically forgiven the couple we dubbed "the tree haters" because these two are so wonderfully friendly. They're both geldings and they come to the fence as soon as they hear us coming it seems. We get to talk to them on the way out and then again on the way back. When we next see their persons we'll have to ask if we can bring them carrots...
