Buddies
We had a sleep over at Granny and Grandpa's last night, the boys went to sleep FAR later than they should have, and then woke up earlier than I thought they might. The result was tired children which was a bit of an issue.
We blew the cobwebs away in Burghley Park, Grandpa came with us and I love this picture of him with the eldest (who is looking so grown up all of a sudden!). The youngest who really doesn't cope well when running on empty got overly upset because we headed to the 'wrong' bench, he kind of recovered in the end.
The eldest has stayed for second night to have a sleepover with Granny and Grandpa which is quite a milestone. The youngest and I had a look around the antiques shop on the way home which was lovely and I found many things I wanted to buy (but didn't). Lazy afternoon with the youngest - so much quieter with just one child! The house has felt quite empty with just the two of us in it. He started asking where the eldest was and was a little bit sad, but did go straight to sleep tonight, which was much needed.
Today I'm grateful for
Time with the youngest, we rarely get time just the two of us and it's been really special
The eldest being so grown up and spending a night away (apparently he has done really well)
An evening of pottering and sorting
