time for T
sauntered over to the national galleries with parents and friend A to see the Turner & Italy exhibition - it's very good stuff indeed, showing the progression of his style, tho it was a shame not to be able to compare it to his british works as they were influenced by his time in italy, and ditto that the italian pieces from the vaughan bequest weren't included. have to wait til next january to see those again!
after art and lunch, i spent an hour or so in waterstones and fopp with my dad buying lots of books and dvds while mother and A shopped for a new sewing machine, then much-needed tea and cake in jenners before more shopping and finally a quick plateful of chinese before i put them on the train home, came back and collapsed! busybusy, but so much better than being at work.
EDIT: just spotted this online: RIP Lorne
