The Leopard!
For anyone who enjoys reading which incorporates continual use of accurate descriptive wording, such as you may never have heard or read before, this book is the perfect example. The author, Giuseppe Tomasi was a Sicilian Nobleman, Duke of Palma and Prince of Lampedusa who was born in 1896 in Palermo and died in Rome in 1957.
His talent went unnoticed during his lifetime and he never had a book published. After his death, this book "The Leopard" was acclaimed worldwide as a literary masterpiece! I've read it three times, the first time I found it utterly mesmerising, his use of language was a real eye opener...it incorporates the period of the Garibaldi era and the unification of Italy
