Remembering

Otley Town Council has brought out a book to commemorate the 75th anniversaries of VE and VJ Days. It includes personal testimonies and memories of local people. I was privileged to be able to work on it with Jason Knowles; I proof-read three drafts of it and was very moved by many of the stories. Christine Campbell, a former Town Councillor and twice Otley Town Mayor, who contributed to the book, very sadly died last weekend, only a few days before the books arrived. She was over 90.
