Russell the flower pot man

This was displayed at a local garden centre and caught my attention.
The notice on the side said “ I am a flowerpot man made from new, taupe coloured plant pots. These plant pots are made of recyclable plastic. One day soon you will be able to put them in your recycling bin at home.
For now, re-use them or bring them back to Garsons and we will recycle them for you.”
Not sure if these pots are a different sort of plastic ..the ones I have are not recyclable?

I’m wondering what is the minimum age of people who would remember the Flowerpot men on TV?
