Quinterra Legacy Garden

In 2014 Calgary witnessed its worse homicide ever. Five beautiful, gentle, young souls were tragically murdered at a university spring break party. Jordan was my son’s best friend. Joshua was his life long friend and also a family friend. Kaiti and Zachariah were school friends and Lawrence was a new friend. Tragically the boy who killed these kids is also a friend. It was a tragic psychotic episode. It has been a tough few years of pain and sadness, survivor guilt and now acceptance for our son. For the families the pain will never end. The memorial garden opened on Thursday. It is a place filled with musical toys, a stage and a view over the reservoir of particular beauty. It is a place to go and play, and enjoy music and reflect on the lives of these 5 incredible human beings and what a difference they made and would have continued to make.
