Mockingbird

I took my big camera with me on our walk today for the first time in months and months and months. As I've said before, the Northern mockingbird(s) that live at the start of the dirt road are ever present and very entertaining to see and hear. This guy was sort of muttering to himself. Although I gather the females talk too, so maybe he's a she?

I also got some pics of a pair of wood ducks on the farm pond. The guys who take care of the farm finally cut down some of the brush and small trees that had grown up along the edge of the pond that faces the road making it impossible to see anything on the pond itself. It's still just as far away as it's always been, but at least I can see the ducks when there are some! See extra for a not very clear photo.
