Paua shell

High magnification of a section of Paua shell. Renowned for its swirling colours it is often used in decoration and jewellery. This piece was stuck onto an NZ greetings card. Hard enough but even so it's been eaten a bit by other denizens of the deep. Thanks to ApolloFly for hosting.
