Put That in Yer Pipe!

Brilliant to hear my old friend Dave playing his Border pipes, accompanied by Chris on Uilleann pipes, at St Bride’s church, just off Fleet Street, today.
It struck me that, although I’ve known Dave for over 30 years, it was the first time I’ve heard him play outside his front room!
The natural reverb of the church gave the pipes an almost ethereal quality that was spellbinding.

Dave & Chris haven’t recorded any music together yet, so here’s Blowzabella’s Jon Swayne, who made Dave’s pipes, playing a tune on a very similar set.
