Working for his lunch

I watched this magpie trying to get seed from this feeder  at the bottom of our garden for a good while today. I was fascinated to see it put its wing out to balance on the branch as it leaned out. It did eventually succeed but definitely had to work for it. Sorry it's very cropped but interesting behaviour and the only picutre I managed to take today!
