Jumping

I was challenged the other day to get a shot of one of our red squirrels jumping towards me. As I sat watching this male today I thought I'd try moving my chair so I was immediately opposite the branch which the squirrel uses to jump from onto the feeder.

Well! Moving the chair was successful but what happened was that the squirrel chose a different route and had a really good view of me. A view it loved so much it sat for 10 minutes gazing at me! The down side of this was I sat for 10 minutes holding up my 100 - 400mm lens (that's over 2Kg!)

Anyhow, I missed the moment and came in to let it enjoy the nuts in peace.
