TGIF!

Phew, what a week - wasn't sure I'd make it to Friday! Promising start to the day though, eh?

Enjoyed Italian on Tuesday - we watched La Vita è Bella (Life is Good) which is set during the second world war and concerns a catholic/jewish family who end up in a concentration camp. The father turns it into a game for his young son - the prize being a tank. It's based on a true story and is incredibly moving.

Afterwards we tried to discuss what we thought of the film. I'll be honest here, and say that when I watch or read something, I do it purely for pleasure. I don't analyse it, I don't look for symbolism or hidden meanings. I did a 4 year French literature degree, so I've had quite enough of that malarkey!

Kept my head down for the rest of the week - much niggly little work, some incredibly stupid questions that literally left me speechless, and still struggling to balance the project work with the daily business. I've started another technique, so I'll see how this one goes!
