Birds of a feather ....

The black-headed gulls are slowly changing to their white head winter plumage.

Just as I was taking this photo I heard the unmistakable noise of swans taking flight and so typical I was just in the wrong place with the camera at the wrong setting. I turned as quickly as I could and the extra was the best I could manage. The six cygnets and one parent circled the loch and then landed as far from me as possible.
