Poppy Seed Bread

A glorious fall day with soft sun and soft breeze. Baked in the morning, then met friend Laura at the usual writing spot and stayed on after she had to head back home. Sycamore leaves were falling, though most are still green. A little spider zipped around the contours of my notebook and phone, trailing silk. While I was trying to spin a story, she spun some strands to anchor my laptop to the picnic table. Luckily I broke free and made it home in time for dinner.
