Gold Sapphire

A few blips ago I almost inflicted the "silver sapphire" Seiko upon you but Sophie arrived just in the nick of time and you were spared. I wanted to get Sophie to pose again but her agent demanded FAR too much meat and so this time the watch wins out - except this time it is the matching "gold sapphire".

I figure that the silver goes best with my blue woollen sweater whereas the gold stands out with the green version. The watch is so named after the fact that the crystal is made of a synthetic sapphire which resists all but the most determined efforts to scratch it. The gold finish isn't REALLY gold of course (Hobbs budgets do not run to the fair dinkum article in this regard) It is merely "gold toned" stainless steel which looks nice enough with a white shirt and blue suit.
