Day 213 A very wet school run

As usual on Wednesdays Mr MC and I take Violet to school.  On the whole, we've faired well with the weather, but this morning the heavens opened.  Due to the ongoing back/hip thing, I drove and Mr MC did the walking bit.  Of course this morning was the one where the carved pumpkin had to be taken in, along with the usual school bag and lunch box, topped off with a large golf umbrella to keep them and the bags and pumpkin dry. The pumpkin had to be place at the far end of the school, supposedly on the outside wall, making their walk to the classroom as long as possible, but Mr MC tells me that by the time they got there the pumpkins were now 2-3 deep on the pavement!
I'm afraid that the people in this watery through the windscreen shot are not Mr MC and Violet but it certainly gives the flavour of this rainy day.
