Working on the Richmond Quilt
Today I spent all afternoon with another lady working on the Richmond Lockdown quilt. See previous blips....
She had sewn all the squares together and sewn on a border . Our task today was to sort out the wadding and backing and pin it together. We then started to tie it, my first time doing this method. We have another session planned for next week and hope to finish it then.
Because it is large we used a studio in our local Arts Centre which is usually used for classes but is currently too small for that. It was easier than doing it in one of our homes, which would not actually be allowed anyway! The blip is an extra of the whole quilt...when finished it will be displayed in the museum of Richmond.
