Scrabo Tower

We had a Yoga class this morning, so this afternoon, to take advantage of the sunshine, we had a walk at Islandhill. There's a great view of Scrabo Tower, and there are thousands of geese, the recent count, by the National Trust and WWT estimates that there are around 27,000 Light Bellied Brent geese over-wintering on the Lough, approximately 6,000 more than last year. Apparently some of the geese will stay on the Lough, others will stop to feed and rest, then will move on.
