Face Off

This was as close as I got to the sun today. The sun motif was the symbol of the Kerr family who lived at Newbattle Abbey from the late 1500s until 1937, when it was bequeathed to Scotland by Philip Kerr, the 11th Marquess of Lothian. He stipulated that it be held in trust and used as an Adult Education college. The motif can still be seen throughout the college and the grounds.
