The New Toy

My birthday is on the 22nd of this month and my mother knows all she has to do is look for something related to photography. I, of course gave her a few ideas! One of those ideas (and subsequently my present) was the nifty fifty lens for my Canon 60D.
And I couldn't be a prouder owner of the little 50mm f1.8 lens! It is a perfect, versatile "plastic fantastic" bit of glass! Sharp as a tack and quick!
So, as anyone does with a new lens - I couldn't wait to try it out. And seeing as I work FIFO (fly in, fly out) in the North West region of Western Australia, the only person I could experiment on was myself!
So I pulled my best "I'm gonna kill you!" pose!
