Little Yellow Birds That Move Too Fast

They scatter up like dry leaves if you get too close, whirring off to the next clump of weeds.

We had a lovely date night: ate at a favorite restaurant, indoors, fab food, on real plates!  A glass of good local pinot, some chocolate cake, and espresso. Pretty much covered all the food groups. We went very early and had the place to ourselves for the first hour or so. I did get a little uncomfortable as a few more folks came in, but there was appropriate distancing and masks. Afterwards we strolled over to the bookstore for some browsing. It was such a normal evening! 

And we put our ballots in the Ballot Box!! Done! or just begun...  Or??
