Homelands
A day of much fun and no little drama.
But first a shot of my famously scummy locale, taken from the Roseburn cycle path. From the left, that's the famous Caledonian Brewery Chimney, then there's a low bit with a plume of smoke - that'll be the street of the famous Pensioner's gaff, then we have the lovely pink floodlight stands of the famous and glorious Tynecastle, home of the famous Hearts, and the wee green dome on the roof of Tynecastle High School, where my great grand-uncle, the famous Andrew Tait, was the first heidmaister! Phew. Takes out trumpet and blows it.
The day was grand - a big work party down at the slipway; then a swifty in the Diggers, followed by Hearts vs Killie where our local boys suffered yet another reverse (honestly, Killie had three shots at goal and they all went fekking in). Then back for another swifty or twa and onward to a boatie club talk from our two Ians. First Ian's was a trip to the Faroes, then the other Ian who seemed to have been on a floating pub crawl around Scotland in two weeks via the three canals. Great chuffin stuff.
