The Reception Committee

We had a friendly inquisitive welcome (as pictured) on the footpath mid mini loop close to Southwell Racecourse today. A bit too scary for the dogs and me as they looked like thoroughbreds. It did however mean that by backtracking I had a chat with a lovely woman and dog form a nearby village that I'd not met before so every cloud..as they say.

An old family friend popped over to re-hang our fairly newly refurbished wooden gates. A messy job, as repairs upon repairs is always much trickier to plan and do than something new and our drive has a slight gradient nearby. Did an excellent job  & unexpectedly with no hitches;  We're very grateful to have such dear friends and their assistance.
