When the Swans Cry

This afternoon Jas and I went to see Swan Lake.

Except this wasn't just any old Swan Lake, this was billed as Tchaikovsky meets Streetdance, so although the storyline followed the idea of the original ballet (I think, I haven't actually seen the ballet) and some of the original score was used (although some of it was heavily tweaked - to clever effect) the dance was street style and the setting modern day.

The whole performance was filled with energy and totally engrossing, although I hadn't anticipated having to explain a storyline that encompassed prostitution, lapdancing, serious drug addiction, DTs and hooray Henrys to 11 year old Jas...
