Swan family

Today has been a mix of grey, brilliant sunshine and huge dollops of rain.  I did get out in the sun this afternoon, but to walk Hazel on Barton Farm so she didn't bark at K's visitor. 

This means you have a shot from my early walk in the nature reserve instead, where one of the swan families sashayed along the river and waddled up the bank.  Every time I'm struck by how elegantly they hold their heads and how mannerly they look.  Lovely birds!

In and out of this the day has been complex, though nice.  And Hazel and I are now hiding in the office, talking to you ;))
