Legion

Miss L and I spent most of today playing Legion. A Roman dice game of strategy and risk.
We first bought it a couple of years ago when we were at Hadrian’s Wall. This summer we realised we hadn’t seen it for ages and despite extensive searches of Marshall it was nowhere to be found.
Mum went to the Roman Army museum a few weeks ago and the woman said they’d stopped selling it over a year ago. She even kindly rang another museum to see if they had it but sadly they didn’t.
It would appear no-one but us wants an obsolete Roman dice game.
The other day a package arrived from Newcastle Museum. Mr K had tracked it down in secret and bought it for us. Whoop whoop!!!!!
Miss L and I had forgotten how to play it but it soon came back to us. You keep accumulating points with each roll and have to decide when to stop and score the points before rolling a non scoring roll. Nail biting stuff!
Miss L is hilarious, going for it every time. She doesn’t know the meaning of playing it safe!
